This privacy policy explains how we collect and use Consumer Health Data, as defined by Washington’s My Health My Data Act (“WMHMDA”). This applies to any resident of Washington State or any individual whose Consumer Health Data is collected in Washington State.

What Consumer Health Data might we collect about you?
We collect Consumer Health Data in connection with our products or services and the specific types of information vary on the specific product or service that you, or a third party on your behalf, purchases. This may include:
- information about any relevant health conditions, treatment requirements, diseases, diagnosis and/ or symptoms;
- health services or supplies requirements, including use and needs concerning prescribed or over-the-counter medication;
- allergies, such as food allergies, medication allergies, or environmental allergies relevant to travel or accommodations;
- immunization status where required or recommended for specific destinations;
- disabilities or mobility needs, including the use of assistive devices like wheelchairs, walkers, or hearing aids;

- information on required medical equipment, such as CPAP machines; and

Depending upon your interactions with us, we might collect your Consumer Health information from the following sources:
Direct Interactions
You may give us your Consumer Health Information by filling in forms or by corresponding with us by post, phone, email or otherwise, This is usually when you book a holiday or other service (such as a flight, cruise, hotel lounge access, transportation or special assistance) via one of our websites, any apps we use, physical locations (such as bases, vessels or retail stores), or our call centre. You may also provide us with this information after an accident, illness or incident that occurred during or after taking part in any trip or service we’ve provided.
Third parties
We may receive Consumer Health Information about you from various third parties, including:
a) travel agents or affiliates who arrange or purchase our services on your behalf;
b) other individuals, such as companions or group leaders, who include you in a group booking;
c) authorities, agencies, regulators, or other official bodies, in the event of an accident or incident during your travel; and
d) other third-party vendors, contractors, processors, or service providers to whom you have provided Consumer Health Information, and who assist us in delivering the services you have purchased or are participating in.
In the event of a medical or health-related emergency, we may receive your Consumer Health Information from unanticipated third parties who are familiar with your health information and disclose it proactively.
How and why do we use your Consumer Health Data?
We generally only collect Consumer Health Data when necessary to in connection with any product or service you purchase from us. However, we may also collect and use this data for the following purposes:
- To facilitate special accommodations or requests, such as mobility assistance, dietary restrictions, or medical equipment needs, ensuring a comfortable and safe travel experience;
- To coordinate with third-party service providers (for example airlines, hotels, tour operators, and destination management companies) to ensure that your health and safety needs are met;
- To comply with our legal obligations, including reporting requirements to authorities, equal opportunities monitoring or providing information in the event of a medical emergency, accident, or incident;
- To assess risks related to specific health conditions or requirements and advise on the suitability of certain travel arrangements, activities, or destinations;
- To provide assistance in medical emergencies, including facilitating communication with healthcare professionals or emergency services in the event that urgent care is needed;
- To comply with internal health and safety procedures aimed at safeguarding your well-being and that of others during group or organized travel.
How do we share your Consumer Health Data?
We only disclose your Consumer Health Data to third parties where it is necessary for the purposes described above. This may include the following categories of recipients:
- companies within the Travelopia group;
- suppliers we work with to provide or manage your booking and our other services to you;
- airports, immigration or border control authorities and/or other government organisations as required by law;
- third parties in connection with acquisitions or divestitures; and
- relevant law enforcement or emergency services authorities.
We do not sell your Consumer Health Data or share it for any valuable consideration.
Your rights under WMHMDA
Subject to certain exceptions, you have certain rights under the WMHMDA concerning the Consumer Health Data we process about you. This may include the right to:
- confirm whether we are processing your Consumer Health Information and request access to the specific information we hold about you;
- request to delete the Consumer Health Data we hold about you;
- request to receive a list of third parties and affiliates with whom your Consumer Health Data has been shared or to whom it has been sold (including an active email address or other online mechanism that you may use to contact these third parties);
- withdraw your consent to the processing of your Consumer Health Data, wherever we are processing this information on the basis of your consent; and
- appeal our refusal to take action on a request.
We will aim to respond to any WMHMDA Rights Requests within 45 days of receipt. When reasonably necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of the consumer’s requests we are processing at the time your request is received, this response period may be extended once by 45 additional days, In such cases, we will inform you of any such extension within the initial 45-day response period together with the reason for the extension.

You may only make a request twice within a 12-month period and the request must provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom the Consumer Health Data relates or an authorized representative, and describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.
